FORNEY, Texas — Westbound Interstate 20 has reopened near Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641 following a vehicle fire.
The fire was reported at approximately 7:18 p.m. on westbound Interstate 20 just prior to the FM 1641 exit and forced the closure of the highway. A four-door pickup truck had caught on fire and was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.
No injuries were reported.
As of 7:55 p.m., both lanes were reopened. Lingering delays persist in the area.
The Forney Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff's Officer,Kaufman County Fire Marshal's Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the fire.
