“Light to moderate rain will continue to spread northeast across the region late this afternoon and this evening,” according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas. “Rainfall accumulations through 6 p.m. will average less than a tenth of an inch. The rain is expected to become more widespread later this evening and tonight.”
Temperatures are expected in the 40s to lower 60s through the early evening hours.
Rain is expected throughout the day on Thursday, January 22, 2015, with a high near 43 degrees.
On Thursday night and into Friday morning, light snow may accompany rain in Kaufman County. Ground temperatures in Kaufman County are expected to remain above freezing resulting in little to no accumulations.
Areas northwest and west of the metroplex can expect the most snow accumulations and impacts.
