KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — In anticipation of a significant winter storm which will strike north Texas late Sunday and Monday, the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Kaufman County.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — In anticipation of a significant winter storm which will strike north Texas late Sunday and Monday, the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Kaufman County.
The majority of the anticipated ice impacts are expected to be in areas northwest of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex but ice accumulations from sleet and freezing rain will still create travel difficulties and possible sporadic power outages late Sunday night and into Monday for Kaufman County. Accumulations are expected to be around one-third of an inch with locally higher amounts.
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing on Sunday night and throughout Monday.
Kaufman County may be upgraded to an advisory or a warning as the winter storm approaches from the northwest.
