KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market (FM) 1392 on Wednesday night.
At approximately 11:15 p.m., the woman and another vehicle were traveling on FM 1392 — in the Lawrence area between Forney and Terrell — when one of the vehicles attempted to pass the other, according to police who said the vehicles made contact and the woman’s vehicle veered off the road and caught fire.
Police say the woman was able to escape the vehicle and was transported to Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Texas, with what were described as minor injuries.
The Terrell Volunteer Fire Department responded and extinguished the vehicle fire. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
Earlier Wednesday, the Terrell Fire Department responded to a separate vehicle fire on U.S. Highway 80 near FM 1392 — approximately 300 yards from the scene of this vehicle fire.
