FORNEY, Texas — The Forney High School (36-3) softball team is looking to defend its State Championship Title and will take the field at noon today against Angleton (37-2) at the University of Texas' McCombs Field.
FORNEY, Texas — The Forney High School (36-3) softball team is looking to defend its State Championship Title and will take the field at noon today against Angleton (37-2) at the University of Texas' McCombs Field.
The Class 5A Semifinal matchup is the last hurdle before a State Championship game, to be played on Saturday at 3 p.m., also at McCombs Field.
DFW-neighbor, The Colony, is currently in a Semifinal bout with CC Calallen to determine their advancement to the State Championship game.
Last year, Forney High School defeated The Colony in two of a three-game series enroute to a state title.
Forney High School has previously made state playoff appearances in 1999, 2011, 2012, and 2018.
