FORNEY, Texas — The Forney High School and North Forney High School scrimmages later this week will benefit athletes and coaches with special needs.
On August 25, 2017, North Forney High School will scrimmage South Garland at Falcon Field and Forney High School will host Carrollton Creekview at City Bank Stadium for their scrimmage.
All gate proceeds will be donated to the Texas High School Coaches Associations Benevolence Fund which benefits athletes and coaches with special needs or hardships, according to Forney ISD Athletics.
The campaign, “Our Day to Shine,” has raised over $422,000, from over 900 participating schools, and has paid over $428,000 to athletes and coaches with special needs.
North Forney scrimmage times:
9th & JV — 6 p.m.
Varsity — 7 p.m.
Forney scrimmage times:
9th — 4 p.m.
JV — 5:15 p.m.
Varsity — 6:30 p.m.
