FORNEY, Texas — Forney High School defensive tackle Jaylon Hutchings verbally committed to Texas Tech yesterday, over offers from Kansas State, Arkansas State, SMU, and North Texas.
FORNEY, Texas — Forney High School defensive tackle Jaylon Hutchings verbally committed to Texas Tech yesterday, over offers from Kansas State, Arkansas State, SMU, and North Texas.
Hutchings, 6-foot-1 and 280 pounds, visited Texas Tech earlier this month before announcing his commitment.
“I really feel like I fit into this system and what they're trying to do,” Hutchings told Rivals.com. “I can tell they really care about their players."
Hutchings thanked God, his family, coaches, and teammates for the encouragement and support to achieve his on-field successes.
“I strongly believe everything happens for a reason and God has a special plan and purpose for me to fulfill!” he said.
