Jackrabbits softball, baseball begin 3-game series tonight in Regional Finals, Regional Semi-Finals

FORNEY, Texas — The Forney High School softball and baseball teams will begin their best-of-three game series in the UIL Class 5A Regional Finals and Regional Semi-Finals, respectively, tonight.

FORNEY, Texas — The Forney High School softball and baseball teams will begin their best-of-three game series in the UIL Class 5A Regional Finals and Regional Semi-Finals, respectively, tonight.

The Lady Jackrabbits, ranked No. 1 in the state by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, will face-off against The Colony, No. 6, in a best-of-three game series beginning tonight, Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 7 p.m. at Prosper.

The series continues with Game 2 on Friday at 7 p.m. in Rockwall and Game 3, if necessary, at 1 p.m. in Prosper.

The girls come off a 2-1 series win against Lake Ridge following a Game 1 lose, 1-0. The girls rallied in Games 2 and 3, 9-3 and 7-5, to advance to the Regional Finals.

Last week, the Forney High School baseball team defeated Frisco Centennial in a one-game playoff in the Regional Quarter-Finals, 4-1, to advance to the Regional Semi-Finals.

Their best-of-three game series against Mansfield Legacy begins tonight at 5 p.m. All games will be played at Dallas Baptist University. Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at 8 p.m. and Game 3, if necessary, will be played Saturday at 3 p.m.
