Kaufman County soccer teams prepare for area-round playoffs

FORNEY, Texas — Several Kaufman County soccer teams are preparing for the area-round of UIL playoffs later this week.

FORNEY, Texas — Several Kaufman County soccer teams are preparing for the area-round of UIL playoffs later this week.

The Forney High School girls team defeated Hallsville 2-1 in UIL Class 5A Bi-District to advance to Area-Round against Wakeland. The lady rabbits play Friday, March 31, 2017, at 6 p.m. at Kimbrough Stadium in Murphy, Texas.

The Forney High School boys team advance to playoffs but dropped their Bi-District matchup against Mt. Pleasant, 2-0.

The Terrell High School boys team advanced to UIL Class 4A Area-Round after their 4-0 defeat of Bonhan in Bi-District. The boys will face-off against Sunnyvale on Thursday at 7:45 p.m. at home.

The Terrell High School girls team will play a similar foe in Sunnyvale with their game played before the boys game at 6 p.m. The girls team advanced through Bi-District with a win over North Lamar, 2-0.

The Kaufman High School boys team will play Thursday night against Williams Prep after a 4-2 victory over Princeton in Bi-District.

The Mabank High School girls team will play Thursday night against Ranchview in the Area-Round after a 2-0 victory over Paris in Bi-District.

The Crandall High School boys and girls teams both advanced to the Bi-District round of playoffs but did not advance.
