North Forney moves to 4-1 on season with loss to defending state champions, Highland Park, 63-42

FORNEY, Texas (Special contributions from Ken and Michael Morrill, in partnership with The Forney Messenger) — North Forney High School took their first loss of the season to defending state champions, Highland Park, on Friday night at Highlander Stadium, 63-42.

FORNEY, Texas (Special contributions from Ken and Michael Morrill, in partnership with The Forney Messenger) — North Forney High School took their first loss of the season to defending state champions, Highland Park, on Friday night at Highlander Stadium, 63-42.

North Forney's Colby Suits passed for 277 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 64 yards one touchdown.

Calvin Ribera rushed for 151 yards and one touchdown. Michael Court, Corey Mayfield, Jordan Carroll, and Jaydyn Barrall all scored on passes from Suits in the first half.

The Falcons move to 4-1 on the season, 1-1 in District 15-5A, and next play Poteet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017, at Memorial Stadium.
