FORNEY, Texas (Ken and Michael Morrill, in partnership with The Forney Messenger) — The Mesquite Poteet Pirates defeated the Forney Jackrabbits in Thursday night action, 49-35.
Forney's Devon Rideaux rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Rideaux also passed for 218 yards and 1 touchdown to Sean Stephens for 32 yards.
Austin Ream had 95 yards rushing including a 75-yard touchdown run in the 1st quarter.
Forney is now 1-3 overall and 0-1 in District 15-5A play.
