Four from North Texas, Oklahoma arrested in Kaufman County on charges for engaging in organized criminal activity

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — Four people from North Texas and Oklahoma were arrested earlier this month in Kaufman County on numerous charges including engaging in organized criminal activity.

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — Four people from North Texas and Oklahoma were arrested earlier this month in Kaufman County on numerous charges including engaging in organized criminal activity.

According to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to a report of possible trespassers at a residence in the 7000 block of Farm-to-Market (FM) 2728 in the Terrell area around 5:30 p.m. on August 4, 2019.

There, deputies located four individuals on the property, none of whom were residents or property owners. Deputies also observed several items had been removed from the residence and a lock to the front gate had been cut and was inside one of the suspect's vehicles.

Arrested were 46-year-old Jo Ann Harris of Denison, Texas, 31-year-old Maggi Green of Denison, 26-year-old Jodi Harris of Cartwright, Oklahoma, and 34-year-old Donald Green of Cartwright. All four were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, a third-degree felony, criminal mischief less than $100, a class C misdemeanor, theft between $100 and $750, a B misdemeanor, and criminal trespass, a class B misdemeanor.

Jo Ann Harris was also charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 less than four grams and is being held at the Kaufman County Jail on bonds totaling $156,000, Maggi Green is also being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and is being held on bonds totaling $28,000, Jodi Harris is being held on bonds totaling $28,000, and Donald Green III was also charged with prohibited weapon, knuckles, and is being held on bonds totaling $63,500.
