FORNEY, Texas — A man wanted in connection with a Dallas murder investigation was arrested in Forney on Thursday, prompting precautionary soft shelter in place at area campuses.
Several law enforcement agencies converged on a residence in the 2000 block of Cobblestone Trail in the Windmill Farms neighborhood to execute a murder warrant.
After an approximate 45-minute standoff, and repeated attempts to have the man exit the residence, law enforcement breached the house and took him into custody, Kaufman County Pct. 2 Constable Jason Johnson told inForney.com.
Dallas police identified the man as Antoinne Littleton and say he is wanted in connection with the shooting death of 30-year-old Eddie Bluitt on November 20, 2017, at 3272 Persimmon Road.
The precautionary soft shelter in place was issued in case the suspect breached the containment area - it has since been lifted.
This is a developing story.
