SEAGOVILLE, Texas — Reports of gunfire and an active shooter have prompted the lockdown and evacuation of the U.S. Army Reserve base in Seagoville, Texas, on Tuesday morning.

SEAGOVILLE, Texas — Reports of gunfire and an active shooter have prompted the lockdown and evacuation of the U.S. Army Reserve base in Seagoville, Texas, on Tuesday morning.

The Seagoville Police Department, Dallas Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff's Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety have responded to the base after a 911 call reported sounds of gunfire.

The source of the gunfire, or similar noise, has yet to be located.

At a noon press conference, police say there is no active shooter and a primary search of the buildings did not indicate any evidence of a shooting. Police are conducting a secondary search of the buildings now before giving an all-clear.

No injuries have been reported.
