Terrell Police Department seeking man in connection with homicide

TERRELL, Texas — The Terrell Police Department is seeking 24-year-old Darrius Johnson Jr. in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old Billy Gardner Jr. on Monday night, May 28, 2018.

TERRELL, Texas — The Terrell Police Department is seeking 24-year-old Darrius Johnson Jr. in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old Billy Gardner Jr. on Monday night, May 28, 2018.

Just after 9 p.m., the Terrell Police Department responded to the 400 block of Thomas Street in reference to an assault and shooting. There, police located Gardner in a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Gardner was transported to Baylor, Scott & White Hospital in Forney where he was later pronounced deceased, according to Terrell Police Department Corporal Z. Boyd.

Boyd says a murder warrant was issued for Johnson who remains at-large and is to be considered armed and dangerous.
