FORNEY, Texas — The victim of a vehicle burglary in Windmill Farms recognized her purse on an online buy-sell app on Monday and made an offer — which later led to a meetup at Walmart and the man's eventual arrest.

After being mirandized, the man voluntarily gave police statements admitting to several vehicle burglaries in the Windmill Farms neighborhood, Precinct 2 Constable Jason Johnson told inForney.com.

25-year-old Eddie Latron Jenkins is now being held in the Kaufman County Jail on three counts of burglary of a vehicle with $2,5000 bonds on each, engaging in organized criminal activity with a $2,500 bond, theft of property between $100 and $750 with a $2,500 bond, and a Dallas County warrant for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.

Johnson says the arrest clears five recent vehicle burglary reports completed by his office in Windmill Farms and may lead to the closure of other area burglaries due to statements made by Jenkins during his interview with police.

Jenkins was booked into the Kaufman County Jail just after midnight.

Arrest warrants were also issued for Jenkin's brother who is wanted in connection with the burglaries.
