WILLS POINT, Texas — A Wills Point, Texas, man pled guilty earlier today to federal child pornography violations in the Eastern District of Texas, U.S. Attorney Joseph D. Brown announced.
58-year-old James Joseph Veeser pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography and now, upon sentencing, faces 20 years in federal prison.
According to information presented in court, between January 2016 and January 2019, Veeser received child pornography using the internet and a computer, including three videos containing child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
A sentencing hearing had not been scheduled at the time of press.
This case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Alan R. Jackson.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
