Bell received the Republican nomination for the house seat in a primary run off in May. On Tuesday, he defeated democratic candidate Eston Williams and libertarian candidate D. Allen Williams for the district that includes all of Kaufman and Henderson counties.

According to unofficial results released by the Office of the Secretary of State, Bell received 44,623 votes to secure his seat. Williams garnered 14,595 and Miller recieved 1,060 votes.

“Annette and I are humbled and appreciative of the overwhelming support of the voters in HD4,” Bell tells inForney.com.

“I will work diligently to maintain your trust as I work to protect our rural values, including public education, tax relief, and local control. It is with great anticipation that I look forward to being your next State Representative and working hard for the great folks of Kaufman and Henderson counties,” Bell said.

Bell will be sworn into office on January 8, 2019 at the state capitol.
