Just before noon, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office was called to a gravel pit off of Pilgrim Road in the Rosser area of southern Kaufman County after the body was discovered by crews at the gravel pit.

The body is believed to be that of the truck driver who was last seen on the property at 6:30 a.m., according to Kaufman County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Jolie Stewart.

The man's truck was found on the property with the bed raised and the truck's sand unloaded, stated Stewart.

"A search of the man was conducted by employees and his body was found around 11:45 a.m., buried under a load of sand behind the truck," she said. "There does not appear to be any foul play."

The man's identity has not been release pending notification of next of kin.
