FORNEY, Texas — A brief overnight closure of the westbound U.S. Highway 80 mainlands has been rescheduled for March 8, 2017, weather permitting.
The westbound U.S. Highway 80 mainlands just east of Farm-to-Market (FM) 460, also known as Clements Drive, will be closed from 1 a.m. until 2 a.m. in 15 minute increments.
In addition to the closure of the mainlanes, the entrance and exit ramps at FM 460 will be closed.
The closure is necessary to gather data for future design and repairs, according to a Texas Department of Transportation notification.
“Backups will occur and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes,” stated the notification.
