CRANDALL, Texas — A buzzard is to blame for power outages on Monday morning in the Heartland, Crandall and south Forney areas.
Approximately 1,827 homes were without power during the outage which has since been restored. Those meters were located in the Crandall, Heartland, and south Forney areas such as Markout.
“It appears that a buzzard got into some equipment at our substation,” according to Trinity Valley Electric Co-op (TVEC) in a statement.
“Thank you for your patience while the problem was corrected,” stated TVEC.
