TERRELL, Texas — A four-year-old child was airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital after accidentally falling from a second floor window on Sunday afternoon.
Just after 3:30 p.m., on Sunday, October 15, 2017, the Terrell Police Department, Terrell Fire Department, and CareFlite responded to the Heather Lane Rental Townhomes in the 300 block of Heather Lane in reference to a child falling out of a second floor window.
“A four-year-old child had apparently fallen out of one of the upper bedroom windows where the window was open,” stated Terrell Police Department Corporal Z. Boyd. “It was suspected that the child pushed through the screen and fell out onto the ground.”
“The child did not show any signs of apparent broken bones,” he said. “However, the child had scratches and bruising to the hands, feet and legs.”
The child was transported to the Terrell Municipal airport and later transported by CareFlite medical helicopter to Children's Medical Center of Dallas.
The child is reportedly in stable condition, according to Boyd.
