FORNEY, Texas — The City of Forney will continue their twice-monthly mosquito spraying schedule tonight, July 10, 2017, through Wednesday, July 12, 2017.
Contractors will be spraying between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. with a water soluble spray to fog for mosquitoes.
The City of Forney says the spray will not harm animals but advises residents to bring pets inside and cover any outdoor pet dishes due to residue and a mild odor.
The City of Forney also released the following additional precautions which should be taken during the spraying hours:
Bring your pets inside for the night and bring in or cover any outdoor pet dishes.
Cover ornamental ponds and birdbaths.
Do not go outside during spray time.
Keep windows and doors closed during spraying.
If you have health problems, such as asthma, take special precautions as directed by your doctor, if necessary.
