FORNEY, Texas — The City of Forney provided an update to the Trinity Street project and scheduled another public forum for August 22, 2017.
According to the City of Forney, roadway construction is scheduled to be complete in September.
The public forum is scheduled for August 24, 2017, at 6 p.m. at Crumbzz, located at 212 South Bois D’ Arc Street.
In its update, the City of Forney says crews are in the process of paving the westbound lanes and driveways and have completed the hydro-mulching and sod on the south side of the street.
The city is recommending residents use Austin Street to access the north and south sides of Bois D’ Arc which remain open due to the downtown construction. Additionally, the city is asking residents to not park on the street during construction hours as it could potentially delay further construction.
According to a provided timeline, and weather dependent, paving is scheduled to be complete mid-September with striping, cleanup, final punch list, and mailbox relocation.
