FORNEY, Texas — The City of Forney will host two ribbon cutting ceremonies on April 1, 2017.
At 9:30 a.m., the City of Forney will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on the Gateway Bridge commemorating the opening of the final leg of Gateway Boulevard which connects Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641 to FM 548 in an eastern loop around the city.
Following the ribbon cutting ceremony on the Gateway Bridge, the City of Forney will host a ribbon cutting ceremony commemorating the opening of Forney Fire Department Station 2. The ceremony will be held at the new fire station located at 980 Reeder Lane.
On March 23, 2017, the firefighter began responding to calls out of Station 2 with their new Engine 2.
