KEMP, Texas — The City of Kemp has issued a boil water notice due to a water leak which is causing low water pressure.
The boil water notice was issued at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
Crews are repairing a water leak at South Elm Street and State Highway (SH) 34 which is causing water pressure levels to drop below 20 psi.
"As a precaution, we are going to issue a boil water notice due to water pressure dropping below 20 psi, stated the City of Kemp. "Boil water when water is restored."
"If you are currently experiencing low water pressure or loss of water, please call City Hall (903) 498-3191 to let us know of the area affected," stated the city. "Our water department is diligently working to resolve the issue and restore water pressure to affected customers."
