FORNEY, Texas — Country Burger House will soon open in the Kickapoo Trace strip center on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 in Forney.
Renovations recently began on the restaurants location within Kickapoo Trace at 571 FM 548 Suite #124 which was formerly a Rock and Roll Tacos restaurant.
The restaurant is expected to open in the coming weeks, according to Country Burger House co-owner Joanna Yum.
Yum says she and her husband, Kyung, formerly owned Country Burger House in Mesquite, Texas, before selling the restaurant to a new owner. Country Burger House had received great reviews on social media while in Mesquite before its eventual closure.
A Facebook Page for the restaurant is in the works and will be available soon for fans to follow their latest updates, according to Yum.
Country Burger House is not associated with the Country Burger franchise in Plano and Murphy, Texas.
In other restaurant development news, Waffle House is nearing completion and will go before the city council for public improvements acceptance before a certificate of occupation is issued.
Across the street from Kickapoo Trace, Bush’s Chicken has submitted a site plan with the City of Forney and will likely undergo Planning and Zoning Commission review in April.
