TERRELL, Texas — County Road 322, north of Terrell, will be closed to through traffic during the remainder of its conversion from a county road to a Farm-to-Market (FM) road between FM 986 and State Highway (SH) 34.
TERRELL, Texas — County Road 322, north of Terrell, will be closed to through traffic during the remainder of its conversion from a county road to a Farm-to-Market (FM) road between FM 986 and State Highway (SH) 34.
The road will be closed to through traffic for the remainder of the project until approximately May 2017, weather permitting. Residents will continue to have access to their property.
The project was awarded to Ed Bell construction for $4.8 million earlier this year.
“This project will upgrade the roadway to state specifications including widened pavement and will improve safety and traffic flow in the area,” Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) spokesperson Michele Releford stated.
“This improved roadway will establish connectivity of the state highway system in the northern part of Kaufman County,” TxDOT stated in an earlier release.
