FORNEY, Texas — A cow was struck and killed on Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 on Thursday night and the driver of the vehicle which struck it escaped injury.
FORNEY, Texas — A cow was struck and killed on Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 on Thursday night and the driver of the vehicle which struck it escaped injury.
The crash was reported at 8:08 p.m. on FM 740 in the river bottoms south of Interstate 20.
Some men were attempting to wrangle the cow, which was black in color, out of the roadway just prior to the crash, according to police.
The van which struck the cow sustained major front-end damage and the driver, assessed by EMS on scene, escaped any injury.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
The Talty Police Department, Seagoville Police Department, Forney Fire Department, and CareFlite also responded to the scene.
