HEARTLAND, Texas — Firefighters from Crandall, Forney, and Seagoville extinguished a grass, structure, and vehicle fire near Heartland on Wednesday.
The fire was reported around noon in the area of Mountain View Drive and east of the Soil Conservation Service Site 2 Reservoir off County Road 260.
The Crandall Fire Department, Forney Fire Department, and Seagoville Fire Department responded with multiple apparatus, including brush trucks, and approximately eight firefighters.
Kaufman County Fire Marshal Randy Richards says the fire burned approximately three acres before it was extinguished. Included in the damage was an old structure and an old truck.
The pasture was also filled with other miscellaneous trash, including tires and pallets, which were burned.
The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
