CRANDALL, Texas — Firefighters from Crandall and Forney extinguished a structure fire early Tuesday morning near Heartland.
Around 2 a.m., the Crandall Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 6000 block of Thelma Lane just east of Heartland. Mutual aid was requested from the Forney Fire Department.
Upon firefighters arrival, the structure was fully involved and a majority of the structure was collapsed and on the ground.
Firefighters say the structure, a mobile home, was unoccupied at the time of the fire. It was located in the middle of several other structures and mobile homes, some of which were occupied.
The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
