COMBINE, Texas — The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a woman’s death on Bilindsay Road over the weekend.

The death has been initially ruled an auto-pedestrian fatality while investigators await the results of the autopsy and additional investigation, according to Dallas County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Melinda Urbina.

Urbina says the body was found around 11 p.m. on Saturday on Bilindsay Road in the Seagoville and Combine area of Dallas County, just west of the Dallas-Kaufman County line.

The victim has not been identified.

A man, on social media, stated that he and possibly another vehicle struck the woman as she laid in the road. Urbina says individuals who stopped to render aid were not the vehicle that apparently initially struck the woman.

Investigators were on scene for several hours Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

The case remains ongoing, according to Urbina.

Combine-area residents have been concerned about the woman's death becuase, two weeks ago, a woman’s body was dumped off of Farm-to-Market (FM) 1389, which prompted a murder investigation.

That woman was identified as 35-year-old Anita Abreu of Dallas, Texas. The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office is investigating her death with assistance from the Texas Rangers.
