KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — Motorists should expect delays on eastbound Interstate 20 in eastern Kaufman County Tuesday morning due to two separate multi-vehicle wrecks, one of which involves an 18-wheeler.
The two wrecks were reported at approximately 9 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. near mile markers 506 and 507 — just east of Farm-to-Market (FM) 429.
At 10 a.m., eastbound Interstate 20 was closed to allow a wrecker to recover several vehicles from a ditch and one that may have ended up in a creek.
No injuries were reported in either wreck, according to Elmo Volunteer Fire Department Chief Randy Brumbelow.
The Kaufman County Office of Emergency Management responded to one of the wrecks which involved an 18-wheeler due to a reported fuel spill which was later contained in a containment pool.
This is a developing story.
