KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A single-vehicle crash is causing delays on eastbound Interstate 20 near High Country Lane Friday afternoon.
The crash was reported at approximately 3:15 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 20 just east of the High Country Lane overpass and before the Farm-to-Market (FM) 741 exit near Heartland.
A white vehicle traveling eastbound, for unknown reasons, drifted into the highway median, swerved back across both lanes of the highway, and came to a rest in the outside shoulder.
The right lane of the highway is closed while emergency personnel are on scene.
As of 3:50 p.m., traffic is backed up to Farm-to-Market (FM) 740.
The Mesquite Police Department, Mesquite Fire Department and EMS, and Forney Fire Department responded to the scene. The Forney Fire Department was disregarded upon arrival.
