KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, for Kaufman County until Saturday morning.
The advisory, issued at 7:51 p.m., is effective until 10 a.m. on Saturday, according to the NWS.
“Visibilities continue to decrease across much of the region as a warm front lifts northward through the area,” stated the NWS. “A moist air spreads north over the cooler airmass in place, fog will continue to form and become more widespread through the night.”
Visibility is expected to fall below half a mile with some locations falling below a quarter mile which will create hazardous driving conditions overnight. Roads may also become slick with occasional light rain overnight.
If driving, slow down, use your low-beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you, warns the NWS.
