TERRELL, Texas — Two teens have been located after absconding from Terrell State Hospital and a brief manhunt assisted by a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter.
TERRELL, Texas — Two teens have been located after absconding from Terrell State Hospital and a brief manhunt assisted by a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter.
The teens fled into a heavily-wooded area east of the Terrell State Hospital, north of U.S. Highway 80, and west of Farm-to-Market (FM) 429.
The teens left the facility at approximately 3 p.m.
An all-terrain vehicle and a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter assisted in the search. The teens were spotted in the Kings Creek approximately an hour after absconding by the helicopter.
The teens are not believed to have any criminal charges.
Both were located just before 4:30 p.m. and are being transported back to Terrell State Hospital.
