TERRELL, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on westbound U.S. Highway 80 on Saturday evening.
At approximately 6:11 p.m., the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and CareFlite responded to the crash in the 6000 block of U.S. Highway 80 near the Villager Inn and SPUR 557 — in between Terrell and Forney.
The motorcyclist was traveling westbound when he entered a curve in the road, lost control of the motorcycle, and was ejected, Texas Department of Public Safety Staff Sergeant Kyle Bradford told inForney.com.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased on scene.
The right lane of westbound U.S. Highway 80 is closed while investigators and fire personnel are on scene.
The man’s name was not released pending notification of next of kin.
