COLLEGE MOUND, Texas — A driver fled the scene of an overnight fiery crash at the edge of the Kaufman-Van Zand County line.
Around 3 a.m., the College Mound Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a fiery crash on County Road 120 in eastern Kaufman County.
There, a pickup truck had veered off the road, struck a tree, and caught fire. The pickup truck was completely destroyed in the blaze.
The driver, and any potential unknown passengers, escaped the truck and fled the scene prior to emergency personnel's arrival.
