Driver injured after collision with 18-wheeler on I-20

ELMO, Texas — A driver was injured early Friday morning after striking the back of an 18-wheeler on Interstate 20 in eastern Kaufman County.

ELMO, Texas — A driver was injured early Friday morning after striking the back of an 18-wheeler on Interstate 20 in eastern Kaufman County.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:22 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 20 near mile marker 512 and the Kaufman-Van Zandt County line.

Both vehicles were traveling eastbound when the car collided with the rear end of the 18-wheeler trailer. The vehicle sustained significant damage and the driver was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in unknown condition.

No injuries were reported for the driver of the 18-wheeler.
