TERRELL, Texas — Eastbound U.S. Highway 80 near Terrell is closed for a reported four-vehicle crash. Westbound was also temporarily closed due to a CareFlite helicopter landing on the highway.
TERRELL, Texas — Eastbound U.S. Highway 80 near Terrell is closed for a reported four-vehicle crash. Westbound was also temporarily closed due to a CareFlite helicopter landing on the highway.
The crash was reported at approximately 4:30 p.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 at its intersection with Metro Drive and County Road 237 — just west of Terrell.
The Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, Kaufman County Office of Emergency Management, CareFlite, Terrell Police Department, Constable’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene.
Firefighters extricated one individual from the wreckage who was later airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital.
Eastbound U.S. Highway 80 was reopened at approximately 5:40 p.m.
