KAUFMAN, Texas — An elderly man crashed into the Kaufman County Courthouse Annex building and into the commissioners’ court meeting room on Tuesday afternoon.
KAUFMAN, Texas — An elderly man crashed into the Kaufman County Courthouse Annex building and into the commissioners’ court meeting room on Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the rear of the building where the Kaufman County Commissioners’ Court holds their meetings. The meeting room was empty at the time of the crash.
The elderly man driving the truck reportedly slipped off the brake and accelerated over a six-inch curb and into the glass wall of the building — pushing it approximately two feet in to a structural support beam.
No injuries were reported in the incident and a temporary wall was constructed in place of the damaged wall.
