TERRELL, Texas — An elderly man was partially pinned under a tractor Wednesday afternoon just south of Terrell and was later transported by medical helicopter to a Dallas-area hospital.
TERRELL, Texas — An elderly man was partially pinned under a tractor Wednesday afternoon just south of Terrell and was later transported by medical helicopter to a Dallas-area hospital.
The Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, and CareFlite responded to the 1900 block of Meadow Way just south of Terrell at approximately 2 p.m. on Wednesday for the incident.
The 82-year-old man was working on his tractor when it fell off the jack and partially pinned him under the tractor. The man sustained what were described as serious injuries and a CareFlite medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene.
Farm-to-Market (FM) 2578 was closed to allow emergency personnel to land the CareFlite helicopter on the roadway. The man was airlifted to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
FM 2578 was reopened at 2:43 p.m.
