ELMO, Texas — An Elmo-area home was damaged in an early morning fire.
At approximately 1:45 a.m., the Elmo Fire Department responded to the residential structure fire in the 11700 block of County Road 352, just north of Elmo.
Responding firefighters reported heavy fire and smoke conditions, according to Elmo Fire Department Chief Randy Brumbelow. All of the residents were out of the home, upon arrival.
The house was being remodeled at the time of the fire. The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
The Elmo Fire Department received mutual aid from the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, College Mound Fire Department, Ables Springs Fire Department, and CareFlite.
