ELMO, Texas — A fire destroyed an Elmo, Texas, home on Wednesday morning.
At 8:48 a.m., the Elmo Fire Department was dispatched to the residential structure fire in the 10500 block of County Road 376, which is across the street from the U.S. Post Office.
Upon arrival, firefighters reported the residential structure was fully-involved, Elmo Fire Department Chief Randy Brumbelow tells inForney.com.
All residents were able to safely escape the fire. One resident was treated at the scene for breathing problems.
Mutual aid responded from the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, Ables Springs Fire Department, and the College Mound Fire Department. The American Red Cross also responded to the scene.
The Kaufman County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
