KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The family of a Dallas Police Department police officer, who is a Forney High School graduate, is seeking a kidney donor.

The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office is sharing the plea for Bryson Brown — whose mother, Pat Brown, is a 12-year employee of the department. Bryson’s father, Dwayne Brown, also served in law enforcement and recently retired from the Dallas Police Department after 28 years of service.

He has suffered severe kidney damage and will begin dialysis soon. Bryson’s family has already been tested but were determined to not be suitable matches for a transplant.

Bryson has been an officer with the Dallas Police Department for 10 years.

“Bryson is a patrolman in Southeast Dallas and, like any cop, loves his job and wants to be where he feels like he is doing the most good,” states a flier seeking a donor.

“The men and women of the KCSO ask that you help support Bryson and his family who have served their community for so many years,” stated Kaufman County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Jolie Stewart.

Anyone interested in helping Bryson should contact Baylor Transplant Services at (214) 820-GIFT of Bryson’s case manager, Paula, at (214) 820-1492. Additional information is available at www.livingdonordallas.org.
