HEARTLAND, Texas — Firefighters were quick to extinguish a kitchen fire in Heartland on Tuesday afternoon.
The Crandall Fire Department was dispatched to the 2000 block of Stagecoach Trail in Heartland for a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters reported heavy black smoke coming from the front of the home.
The Forney Fire Department, Seagoville Fire Department, and Combine Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched as mutual aid.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire which damaged the kitchen.
The same home sustained major damage in an April 2015 fire.
The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire.
