TERRELL, Texas — Firefighters quickly extinguished an industrial fire in Terrell early Saturday morning.
Just before 1 a.m., the Terrell Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Airport Road and Industrial Boulevard on reports of heavy smoke in the area. Upon arrival, firefighters reported heavy fire and smoke from an Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope building.
The fire was located in a building marked PT Paint just east of Industrial Boulevard and south of Airport Road.
Approximately 30 minutes after their arrival, firefighters reported the fire knocked down.
Mutual aid was requested from the Forney Fire Department and the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department. CareFlite units were on scene for standby in case of injury.
As of 2:15 a.m., firefighters remained on scene for overhaul and investigation.
