FORNEY, Texas — Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 has reopened following a head-on collision in which one vehicle overturned and resulted in one person becoming entrapped.
FORNEY, Texas — Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 has reopened following a head-on collision in which one vehicle overturned and resulted in one person becoming entrapped.
The crash was reported at approximately 6:40 p.m. on FM 740 near Lake Ray Hubbard Drive — west of FM 460 and south of Travis Ranch.
The Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, and two CareFlite ambulances, among other emergency personnel, responded to the crash.
The two vehicles collided causing one vehicle to overturn and its driver to become entrapped in the wreckage. The driver was later extricated and transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
One other person was taken by CareFlite to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Their injuries were described as non-life threatening.
Nearly an hour later, FM 740 reopened. Traffic on FM 460 had backed up to the U.S. Highway 80 overpass.
