MABANK, Texas — Former NFL All-Pro linebacker Isaiah Robertson was killed Thursday evening in a three-vehicle crash near Mabank — not far from the faith-based drug treatment center, Isaiah House, he founded in 1989.

69-year-old Robertson was driving a limousine on SH 198 on Thursday night when he skidded to a stop in a corner after approaching at an unsafe speed. His limousine was struck by a pickup truck, forcing the limousine into the southbound lanes and into the path of a third vehicle.

Robertson founded the Isaiah House in 1989, a faith-based long-term alcohol and drug treatment center for adult men. The center was raising funds to build a larger facility to accommodate increased interest in the program.

Robertson was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the 1971 NFL Draft at 10th overall. He was a four-time Pro-Bowl selection and a six-time Pro Bowler. He retired in 1982.
