FORNEY, Texas — Candidates for Forney city council and mayoral race have been invited to participate in a virtual town hall meeting to be broadcast on Facebook, on Thursday, April 18.
The virtual town hall meeting is being hosted by inForney.com and will be held at the Best Western – Christopher Inn of Forney on April 18 beginning at 7 PM. Questions for the candidates will be determined in advance based on questions or concerns submitted by inForney.com readers.
“We understand it is hard for some people to participate in the election process like they would like to,” says Bryant Martin, inForney.com’s publisher. “We are excited to use our platform and technology so that more people may be engaged in the process.”
To be considered for the meeting, questions must be submitted to inForney.com’s Facebook page or emailed to publisher@inForney.com no later than Friday, April 5.
All candidates for Forney city council and the mayoral seat were invited via email February 19 and there is no cost to candidates to participate.
